Tamie Felty

Tamie was born and raised in Round Rock, Texas. As a point guard and defensive specialist in high school, she led the Round Rock Christian Academy Lady Crusaders to a Final Four appearance and a State Championship. After graduation Tamie stayed at RRCA to coach the 8th grade Lady Crusaders before going off to college in Phoenix, AZ. In college she coached middle school teams in central Phoenix while serving as the Director of Intramurals at Grand Canyon University. During that time she coordinated numerous basketball clinics for inner-city kids in the Phoenix area. Tamie graduated in the top 10% of her class with honors from GCU with a BS in Secondary Education and a BA in English. After teaching and coaching middle school girls in Phoenix, she returned to Texas to continue her coaching career. Tamie loves the game of basketball and especially enjoys teaching defensive fundamentals. She began coaching with Austin Lady Magic in 2007 and currently serves as the Assistant Director, Scholarship Coordinator and Player Promotion Specialist. Tamie recently resigned from coaching at Copperas Cove High School and looks forward to continuing there as an English teacher.
