Morgan Robertson

After coaching the 8th grade team this past summer along side Coach Cassie Simpson, Morgan is back in Austin and excited to coach another season with the Lady Magic. Morgan was a 4-year varsity team member at Amarillo High School. She went on to play Division I basketball at La Salle University (Philadelphia, PA). At La Salle, she was a 3-year starter who compiled numerous academic and athletic awards. The most prestigious of the those awards was being named to the All Philadelphia Big 5 First Team two years in a row, as well as receiving the Big 5 Most Improved Player Award her junior year. She was named the Atlantic 10 Student-Athlete of the Year in 2010 and was a nominee for the NCAA Woman of the Year award.

Morgan’s basketball career did not end after college as she went on to play professionally in Copenhagen, Denmark for the Hoersholm 79ers (2010-11). She helped lead the 79ers to a second place finish in Denmark’s top league, Dameligaen. Morgan was also selected to play in the All-Star game during her season overseas.

After spending the 2011 fall months traveling overseas, practicing and playing with teams in Denmark, Sweden and Norway, she decided to return to the States and move back to the Austin area. She is currently working at the University of Texas in the athletic department. Morgan is ready to hang up her jersey and give back to the game she loves by helping players grow on and off the court.
