LaNessa Reed
LaNessa Reed was born in Conroe, Texas where she grew up with her younger brother and five step sisters and brothers. She began her promising basketball career in the third grade, which paved the way for her becoming a three-year Varsity player at Westwood High School. After her sophomore season, LaNessa was named New Comer of the Year. She also earned recognition as an All-District player and Best defensive player for three consecutive years. LaNessa was also recognized for lettering three years in track and field and she won district her sophomore year of track. LaNessa also coached for two consecutive summers of 5th and 6th grade basketball. LaNessa also referred basketball for one year straight. LaNessa is currently attending Austin Community College, and plans to transfer to the University of Texas. LaNessa's major is undecided, but is interested in business and event coordinating. She also plays intramural basketball at the college she attends and was set back due to an ACL reconstruction her senior year of high school. LaNessa loves the game of basketball, and loves teaching the fundamentals of the game and hard-core defense.
